Biosecurity Template

 

Disease prevention is much easier and less expensive than treating a disease. Most contagious diseases of livestock are unknowingly \"purchased\" by producers when they introduce new livestock on to their farm or mix their livestock with others. Every livestock producer ought to have a plan to prevent disease.
 

This template is designed for sheep and/or goat producers to create a customized biosecurity plan for their farm.

Read and respond to each question or statement. As you respond, a customized document will be created for you. Skip those items that don't make sense to you or do not apply. When you have completed the applicable questions and statements, please save the document to your computer and print a hard copy for your files. Your biosecurity plan will be available from this website at any time using the password you created for your farm.

You may update, revise or delete your plan at any time. The individual farm data provided will be confidential.

I hope the plan you create will benefit you and your livestock by saving time and reducing losses. By creating and following a comprehensive biosecurity plan, you will have a better chance of maintaining a healthy and productive herd/flock.
