Pelibüey

The Pelibüey is the "Cuban" version of the Barbados Blackbelly. It is found in Cuba, Mexico and various regions of the Caribbean. Both sexes are polled. Hair color ranges from beige, brown, dark brown, red, white, black and roan with both solid and a combination of colors found. Pelibüey ewes are generally not as prolific as Barbados Blackbelly ewes, but their conformation is superior.
